We are pleased to announce the launch of the Global Online Manga Academic Program (GoMAP) website, a project of the Research Center for Distance Learning in Manga at Kyoto Seika University.

This project has been selected for the Creator Support Program (Program Development & Implementation) under the Japan Creator Support Fund, administered by the Japan Arts Council. It aims to build and deliver a new distance-learning program to prepare creators for international careers as manga artists, alongside the editors, curators, and other professionals who sustain manga culture.

We will post updates here as the project develops: how the new manga curriculum is being designed, findings from surveys in Japan and overseas, and the programs as they take shape.
